ccTLD Names Council Elections

Nominations Closed Announcement and list of Candidates Sent 29 July 1999:

Dear ccTLD administrative contacts,

INTRODUCTION FOE THOSE NEW TO THE LIST
Most will be aware that elections will take place in August to find 3 ccTLD representatives to sit on the Names Council of ICANN's Domain Name Support Organisation. Each ccTLD registry gets one vote and this must be cast by the administrative contact as found in the Internic database.
(The admin contact information provided for some ccTLDs proved to be inaccurate but IANA have recently been updating the database which is why some of you are now on the list for the first time.) In the mean time, I have tried to ensure that a message got through to alert as many registries as possible of the elections.
This is a closed, low-traffic list to be used soley for election announcements and distribution of balloting information. Discussion and opinions should be sent to wwtld@ripe.net

More information about the world-wide ccTLD constituency and its Administrative Committee, the forthcoming elections and regional ccTLD groups can be found at:
