Procedures for Regional nomination of candidates

11 September 2000

  1. The nomination period for each region shall take place concurrently starting
           Monday 11 September 2000 at 12:00 UTC, through
           Sunday 24 September 2000 at 12:00 UTC
    
  2. Two members of the ccTLD Registries from each region may make a nomination.
    A nominee shall be any natural person who at the time of the nomination (or endorsement) is citizen or residency in that region and has support from the ccTLD Registries in that region.
  3. Nominations should be emailed to the Interim ccTLD Secretariat at the following email address: cctld-nominations@wwtld.org and use the provided Template for nomination.

  4. Any nominee can express his/her acceptance or declination from the time he/she is nominated, until 3 hours after closing the nomination period.

    If no acceptance is expressed in the period, he/she is thought to have declined.

    The acceptance period close on

          Sunday 24 September 2000 at 15:00 UTC (12:00 UTC plus 3 hours)
    

    Acceptances should be emailed to the Interim ccTLD Secretariat at the following email address: cctld-nominations@wwtld.org and use the provided Template for acceptance.

    After the deadline of acceptance, the list of accepted nominees together with their acceptances will be published at the website http://www.wwtld.org/elections/

          ccTLD Constituency to DNSO Names Council (no more than 500 words):
    

  5. The campaign and discussion periods for all five regions will last 7 days using the ccTLD Constituency discussion list cctld-discuss@wwtld.org
          Monday 25 September 2000 at 12:00 UTC, through
          Sunday 1 October 2000 at 12:00 UTC
    
  6. The AdCom, the Interim ccTLD Secretariat and the regional organizations will police the nomination and campaign process to help detect and cure any instances of fraudulent activities.
