Dear Ms. Porteneuve,

Dear Mr. Kanchanasut,

I am writing to you with reference to Ms. Porteneuve’s message of August 4, 2000, addressed to my colleague, David Muls, concerning the World Intellectual Property Organization’s (WIPO) offer of assistance to the administrators of the ccTLDs for the development of registration practices and dispute resolution procedures aimed at protecting intellectual property in their domains.

We are pleased that several administrators of ccTLDs, who are members of the ccTLD Constituency of ICANN’s Domain Name Supporting Organization, are interested in working together with WIPO on the issues concerned, and we very much appreciate your support in this connection.

As requested, we have added the e-mail account of the Secretariat of the ccTLD Constituency to our mailing list.

We understand that the members of the ccTLD Constituency are now considering WIPO’s communication to the ccTLDs of August 3, 2000, including the letter from the Honorable Mr. Richard Alston, Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the Arts, of the Government of Australia.

We look forward to hearing further from you in due course.

Yours sincerely,

Francis Gurry
